Many people are so focused on thinking about and taking care of others that they forget to take care of themselves. During this unprecedented time in history, however, it is especially important to prioritize self-care. You can do this by checking in with yourself everyday to see if you have taken time to keep yourself balanced and mentally and physically healthy. There are so many self-care activities, and some include reading, writing, revisiting an old & beloved hobby, or staying in touch with friends and family. Become aware of what your mind and body need inorder to feel great, and build those things into your routine. Pinterest is a great resource. After creating a Pinterest account & logging in, users can make boards according to their interests and gain. inspirations You should also exercise and eat healthily. Physical activity is beneficial for physical and mental health, especially during stressful times. Customize your exercise routine to what your body is comfortable with. Some refreshinig physical activites include biking, walking, running, yoga, and any sport that you enjoy. You should choose healthy, balanced diet to give body the nourishment and energy it needs to maintain positive mental & physical health. Physical self-care includes eating well. Food Network is a website that can take care of your physical well-being, as it features seasonal, healthy, and delicious recipes. Practicing relaxation and meditation also helps, as these practices can help reduce or manage your levels of stress & anxiety. There are many options, including:

  • Formal meditation practices such as yoga / mindfulness meditation

  • Informal approaches such as books & online videos 

  • And Relaxation through any activity you enjoy or find relaxing 


Start slowly and gradually work toward a regular practice with the activites you enjoy.
